This morning I watched the congressional testimony from Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, and others.
Here is a Bloomberg update on it all
What the update doesn't show, and what you would miss if you did not watch it live, was the cry for project management process and the fear and distrust that exists because people don't know how these groups are going to move forward together.
I heard the following said:
"People just want to know that we have a plan. What is our plan?"
"You've completely lost track of how many accomdations have been agreed to, and if you were tracking it, and I know that you're not, you'd see that we have too many on the table already. I have a list of ___(I missed the number, sorry)___ that I put together in my office before coming here."
There is lack of agreement about what money that's been allocated can and cannot be used for, and there is lots of arguing about it.
The other interesting thing is that very valid "red flag" points are raised in this forum, and are not then addressed at all--- everyone gets their 5 minutes to talk, but there is no dialogue happening at all. The key players are talking at each other, at least in this forum. I sure hope they're talking WITH each other having a more productive dialogue outside the context of this forum.
Help, we need Super Project Manager to fly in and get this project on track.
